After downloading the latest windows patch I get the
following:

My computer is used by all members of the household and as such has become
clogged with 31,000 TIFs, a lot of which are small thumbnail JPGs. I cant
clear these and other notepad files from the TIF using Disk cleanup-delete
TIFs!

I have recently had a second Hard Drive fitted to my PC
and I would now like to move some programmes from Drive C
to my new 'D' Hard Drive. Is this advisable? And how do I
go about it. I am a bit of a novice at this.

I have a new MB and I am running Award Bios, same as old MB, but a newer
version on a P-4. However, I am unable to get to the boot menu. I've tried
everything, at least I think I have!!
Del key gets me into Bios,  (same as old board).

while removing a virus from my PC, a dll file 'bxxs5.dll'
got deleted, now on startup an error message pops up
saying that the file is missing. where will I get the file

the problem is, the machine get freeze for a few seconds. This machine have
2 network connection one to DSL and one to network hub. The activity in the
DSL continue working while the mouse and keyboard stuck freeze. This machine

I am having trouble when I open a file. The view always
reverts back to the large icon option. I change this
to "list" under the "View" menu but the next time I open
the file it is back to the Large Icon setting. How do I

somehow i have lost my start meu/ task bar!!  I have tried
moving the mouse button down to screen and dragging it
back up, didn't work!!  Is there a backdoor to the taskbar
options, like through exploror??  thanks in advance

Since installing virus and spam protection software I seem to be unable to
defragment my disc. It keeps going about as far as 2% and then back to 0%
continually. I tried disabling both the virus and spam protection but that
does not seem to make any difference.

Very strange problem.
Suddenly, I'm unable to create a new folder.
When I go to My Computer and click on File, under File
there isn't usual "New" (and under that - folder etc).

After updating my W98 gold with dx9, at startup I have (1) QuickView
showing me what looks like header info on dxdllreg.exe and (2)
dxdllreg.exe loading at startup.  I'd like to get rid of (1) and would

I made one for Word, but cannot make one for Excel or
Access.  The dialog box is grayed out.  I also asked this
under misc.  Sorry if I am not supposed to post it in two
places.
