What are common client files.  Symantec is unable to
update the common client files.  I found a file that says
common client and I clicked it once and it asked if I want
to update my registry.  Do I need to do this? Thanks

i have a program that creates screensaver from *.swf files. it needs
gdiplus.dll installed to be able to run the screensaver. the program has its
own installer of gdiplus.dll if ever your computer doesn't have it installed
but when i try to install it, the windows says it performs ...

Starting in early July after upgrading RAM in my puter, I experienced a
strange failure. However, installing the RAM didn't cause the failure. The
puter would power on, you could hear it run, fans, etc...  However, the cpu
would not fire as expected and start posting my W-98se OS. ...

I am having problems uninstalling a program (Quicken 2004, as part of
the installation of Quicken 2005). From what I can figure out, I think
the problem is that I changed the configuration of my system since the
time I installed the program.

What's the story on the C:\temp folder? It has gotten quite large. What is
it good for?
Windows deletes its "Temporary files" (in the C:\Windows\TEMP folder, I
presume) when I use its Disk Cleanup (TUNEUP.EXE) feature, but doesn't seem

I recently helped a friend with her new laptop and tried to create some
shortcuts on her desktop but when I right clicked on any of  the programmes
the send to option gave floppy as an option but not desktop.  I got around
it by cutting and pasting shortcut but would be interested ...

My mother is running Windows 98 and her ISP is AOL.  When
she downloads photos, they come up on her monitor much
larger and you have to scroll side to side and top to
bottom in order to view the entire photo.  Also, when she

When I try to startup windows, I get an error that reads:

I am trying to run a program that gives me error messages.
The exe file causes an invalid page fault in Central.dll I
am also being prompted to associate dll files with a
program to open it. Any suggestions?
