In the last few week, I suddenly find that I cannot create
new folder in any directory.
The 'New' in file or in mouse right click seems to have
disappeared.

My system tends to show very low user resources, but the
memory load and GDI resources are fine. Recently I upped
the memory from 256 MB to 512 MB. The BIOS and Windows
both recognize the additional memory.

I udated my laptop from WIN98 to WIN98SE and lost some system files.
One of the files it can't find is redir.vxd. I copied it from my other
laptop
that came loaded with SE to this one under \windows\system like it was

Yesterday I acidentally deleted a driver that I thought I
didn't need (the name was ATI something something
something (VGA) 2x). When I restarted my computer to save
the changes, the screen area had shrunk to 640 by 480

I have a small network and try to use outlook in windows98
to send mails out, but it couldn't. My messages remain in

after runing from WinDoctor from SystemWorks 2002, the IE freeze , it's
load the home page (yahoo.com) fine, but when try to navegate to other
website the IE get freeze .

Now and then this error pops up at the end of successfully
booting (all in place, icons and tray items, etc.).
Closing the error window does not appear to cause any
problem, as, to my knowledge, all appears to be working OK.
