I am having windows components list problem. The Add or
Remove Programs of windows 98 has the windows components
tab which is empty showing 0 MB installed items which is
not the case. Would anyone kindly tell me how to get the

My Symtray/Notification area icons have gone tiny, also
max and min bottoms at the top. Everything else is correct.

For some reason I no longer get to the 'it is safe to shut down your
computer' screen - just a flashing dos prompt on a black screen, but if I
wait I get this:

I am having shutdown problems.  If I'm on the computer
over 30 minutes my computer will not shutdown. The screen

An item in SysInfo Startup  listing called mdac_runonce.exe. It was placed
there when I installed the MDAC data access components. Some friends have
told me that it only needs to run once after the install, and shouldn't be

My computer will not go past the opening screen, and will
not turn off even if I hit the power button.  What is the
problem, and how can I resolve this.  Any help would be
