How can I tell whetehr I have Windows 98 or Windows 98se?

I am trying to upgrade from Win98 to XP professional.
Currently I have Win98 SE, during install I get the blue
screen error message that states there was an error in
VXD VERVER (01). What is this and how can I fix it so I

Somehow all my explorer folders view as web pages.  I have
tried 1) uncheck the option in the view menu, 2)every
option I can think of in the "folder options" of the view
menu - including the "like current folder" option.  Each
