I had a cd-burner installed yesterday, The program (nero)
that came with it will let me reformat cd-rewritable ...
but I can't figure out how to reformat cd-recordable. TIA

Windows 98 Troubleshooter starts up okay, but when I check
any box on the first screen and click ok, the next page is
always blank.  It doesn't seem to matter what subject I am
trouble shooting.  I have tried a simple reinstall but

My usb does not function at all. I had it working at one
time but it won't now. The problem seems to be the

I have recently not been able download files from any
sites.  The message I get is "there are no files to
download at this time".  I have not had problems in the
past.

My Win98 computer was damaged by installing a known safe exe file. My basic
problem is that it crashes hard whenever I try to use the windows explorer
and often if certain programs are run.

  I seem to recall a way to start a version of Windows
that is a day or two previous to today's version. You
have to press a Function key at start up at which point
you are presented with a last of dates to choose from.  I

           What are the upsides/downsides on both file systems, and once
converted to FAT32 can you covert back, even if you have to format the whole

my comp is starting up in SAFE mode all the time ...
normally it gives me the option to change this BUT for
some reason it now ISNT ! what do i do to stop it starting
in safe mode ?

I reformatted my computer after a critical error. Windows
was reinstalled but I can only get up 16 colours instead
of the 256.
As a novice and only a casual user I would appreciate step

My computer is getting slower and slower. Loading and the
selecting of programs etc is very very slow. The Packard
Bell computer is only one year old.
