Good Morning:
I friend brought me an eMachine 433 ( 32 MB, 4G HD, 128KL2 ) that she was
having trouble with. I did some simple maintenance with a lot of restarts
and it seemed to be running better. When I went to Shut in down for the

I need to partition my computer to install win98 so I can
use some hardware.  I have a very old copy of windows but
don't have the key, plus I'm not sure it will work on my
new computer.  I had it on a think pad but using a

i have just loaded a few sp updates to windows98 se english ed and am now
experiencing "error code 0x81000370" when trying to log in to messenger.
troubleshoot did not find any problem. any ideas anyone?

I just discovered today that none of the files I have recently deleted are
in the Recycle Bin. I tried a couple of new 'test cases' and they haven't
gone there either. I've checked Properties and it is not set to permanently
delete.

When browsing through the directory tree, Windows Explorer
is often quite slow - takes 30 secs to read the contents
of a directory and display icons, especially if directory
contains large files (1+ MB). Any idea what is causing

My computer would not power down so I unplugged it.  when
i turned it back on now when i power up it goes right into
ms-dos screen to this prompt C:\windows\  I cannot get
anywhere from there.  I can get into safe mode and went

I have tried to open hyperterminal and it askes for the
original software disk to be inserted, however the
software was installed by the supplier and I only have
recovery disks that came with the computer.

I started the IdleWild program in Microsoft Entertainment Pack
yesterday, just because I didn't know what it was. Now it keeps
popping up, no matter what I do. Does anyone know how to stop it? Is
this the way it is supposed to behave?

I receive error :EXPLORER caused an invalid page fault in
module explorer.exe at 0167:00x01f31" and cannot boot.

pc locks up when we play games on the  internet can some

When windows is starting an error message comes up. RUNDLL
missing. System cannot find file C:\windows\BXXS5.DLL. Any
idea how I find find and replace this missing file?
