During boot up this shows up:

Recently changed CMOS battery now everytime i start it it
stops at a message that says Warning cpu has changed set
something clock in soho commands or something like that i
set the clock and I can F1 to continue bootup and the

Windows is automatically loading a program  when I turn on
the computer. How can I avoid or disable that ?

I'm not entirely sure when or how this happened because I
wasn't paying attention, but I just recently noticed I
lost the menu for adding new folders. Normally I'd right
click and select new -> folder and my folder is there, but

I have been having intermittent problems with my computer start-up. I
posted on a bulletin board on the Microsoft website and got some
helpful responses. Today I've been following the advised steps.
In device manager (in safe mode), I removed the following duplicate

I have done something to my Windows 98 SE system that
causes a start-up message saying that I have an out-of-
date version of WINASPI.DLL - the message suggests that I
reload the DLL from the set-up CD. I have done this, but

I have Internet Explorer 6, SP1 on Win98SE.  IE works
normally except when viewing videos on the MSN site

Problem: The system.ini refers to this file but the device
no longer exists. Windows\system\vshinit.vxd. Windows will
not boot up properly. How do I fix the problem.

I have recently done a reinstall of IE6.
System :  98SE
              18 Gig HDD
              700 MHz CPU

When I lauch IE 6 I get the "Msgsrv32 not responding"
error and IE seems to lock up.  I have run Norton
Antivirus, Spybot, and Ad-aware 6.0 and have removed any
spyware, but still have this problem.  Anyone have any

I tried to watch a video at website www.video.msn.com but I got an error
message illegal operation and closed the browser, and Watson gave these
details;
The application overflowed its temporary memory area.

Some how a password has been place at the settings for
the internet explorer by some one other than the
supervior and now I can not access it to change the
settings and our internet has been diabled can anyone
