Should I reinstall the windows upgrade and the second
edition and the service pack 1 over my newly installed

I am trying to remember the drill for running scanreg in Win 98.
Is it boot to DOS prompt, run smartdrv and then run scanreg /fix and then
scanreg /opt, also from DOS prompt?  And is there something about running
scanreg /fix three times?

My computer can no longer find its internet connection.

I've found the CD with the correct driver on it, so
assume is already installed as all was well a few days
ago - before I started 'fiddling'.

When I go to "files" the drop down menu is missing "New". I
cannot creat any new folders. Help?

Help! My computer lost the ability to create folders. When
I go to file the drop down menu does not have "new" in it
