i can't get sound on my pc.  i go to the control panel and
in the multimedia settings.  the entire tab regarding
playback/record is greyed out.
i have reinstalled audio drivers to no avail.  help!

I can't get into windows 98se. Have some video card problem. need to reinstall
the drivers, but i can only get into safe mode and it won't let me use my cd
rom. The drivers can only be installed in windows. I tried dos, but it needs
windows. Any hope out of this quagmire?
