Dear Helpgroup, I would like my Windows 98 SE Computer to boot faster, or know that it is doing the best that it can. I have tried to speed it up, but only have modest success. It takes 145 - 150 seconds to boot up.

When I run "regedit", the regedit box appears for about one second and dissappears. Does the same thing with msconfig as well. What's the cause of this? Never has happened before. Thanks!
