    I am still using Windows 98SE and have run into an error
message when surfing the net saying I need to download a file called
Visual Basic Script 815 KB for the page to be shown properly BUT when
I click to okay the download I get an error message saying it can not

Can anybody tell me how I can search my computer for
viruses without going into Windows 98. I believe I have a

My winini file is causing my windows to delete my
autoexec.bat file when the system is rebooted. How do I

this is probably not a windows issue but im sure some one
can help. after a hardware upgrade my num lock no longer
defaults to on at boot up. what do i have to add to my

I have an IBM APtiva 2194 (UK) with preloaded Win98SE.
I have purchased an Infrared USB adaptor, and am trying to
install it. The New Hardware dialogue box keeps asking me
for a Windows 98se disk, and cannot find the program

When I boot (or reboot) my computer, which is part of a

I use to have two hard disk in my pc. I remove the slave
one. On the Bios it only shows me the prymary hard disk
and the two cd-roms that i have, but when i go to the
windows explorer it shows me as if the disk that i remove

We have the same error message - I am not technical. I was
about to buy the XP edition but need to resolve this
situation first. Please share any response you receive

I just downloaded eTrust EZ anitvirus by Computer Associates. (haven't
installed it yet). They are giving it free for one year. Does anyone know if

That's all it does is one high and one low beep when you
turn it on.  We checked the power cord.  We reseeded
(unpluged and repluged) all the boards and cords, even the
processor and that didn't help.  Does anybody know if this

HELP.
Foolishly, it seems, I tried to re-install Windows 98 (without first
uninstalling) as I was having a few problems. Now I've got more!  Although
the install seemed to go OK, at the very end a message came up saying that
