I'm trying to download the free version of web publishing wizard for windows
98se. According to Web publishing wizardry
by Mark Reed its supposed to be on the windows update site but it isn't.
Anyideas where it is or is there any other compatible and free web publ.

I have several programs listed in the task pane and don't know what they
are...can someone help?  Also having probs. with OL express 6, very slow.

I'm attempting to transfer some files from one PC to another one.
I tried a LapLink cable and connected the LPT1 ports and set up the software
in Accessories/Communications,, etc.
The "Guest" computer gave me an error message that the LPT1 port was not

I'm having  problems uninstalling a program called Atguard. I've had it on
my system for years. About 3 days ago it stopped functioning and disappeared
from the icon tray.
I tried to use the programs uninstalled feature on the start up menu, no go.

I believe that AVG Anti virus programme is as good as the Norton Anti Virus
Programme.
Has anyone got experience with using AVG?

have very slow handshake connections using a Lucent 56K Internet-Fax
modem. I have multiple drivers listed. Are the multiple driver a

Have seen this problem on some of my PC's before.  If a user changes/deletes
some of theirbasic data files (NOT system files) on the pc after a reboot, a
pop-up occurs saying:
"Windows can't read the registry and will have to start the computer"

When using W98 SE Windows Explorer, my machine locks up for long periods of
time whenever I generate a new folder or rename or move an existing folder.
I've kept up with all of the MS updates and I don't load wierd programs on my

I recently bought what I thought was a boxed version of Windows 98se.  I
only recieved the CD with a Product key.  Now, those are the only things I
really need but is there a way to tell if this is a boxed version of Windows
98 by the Product Key?

I have a 12G drive (D:) that I just used Fdisk on to create two partitions -
D: and E: each with 6G of space.
But when I look at them in My Computer I get an error message: "D(or E): is
not accessible.  A device attached to the system is not functioning."

I get the following error message when booting up:
A Fatal Exception Error Occured at 0167:00000001.
I can not start in safe mode either.

I had win98se and XP Pro dual booting from two seperate partitions on the
same hard drive and they both worked fine.
After a while it became necessary to reinstall win98se so I fromatted the C
drive partition ( XP is on D: ) and re-installed ( bit of a mistake I now
