I ran Pest Patrol free scan to evaluate - found a pest.
It identified Microsoft RichtextCtrl as Adware>Virtual Bouncer.
I did not delete the registry keys.
I did search for virtual bouncer -thought it only pertained to kids.

I generally receive this error message with the "Blue screen" after I try to
launch Internet Explorer, or cntrol panel,.. although I do receive it when I
use Nortons System works 2003 to do WinDoctor and the error comes along as
the registry scans...

Using Win98SE. My Accessories folder is missing off the Start Menu,
Programs.  How do I get it back because I wish to defrag computer.

I have freshly installed an OEM Win98SE on a new machine.
When I go to install Works 8 on it, it gives an error that I need
windows 98SE or better to install it. The machine itself says
