BOUGHT A HARD DRIVE WITH WIN98 ON IT. COULD NOT BOOT FROM
WIN98. KEPT ADDING WHAT IT SAID (FILES) WERE MISSING FROM
MY WIN98 CD. LOST HOPE REINSTALLED WIN98 FROM CD-- STILL
HAD PROBLLEMS. RAN UNINSTAL.EXE. IT PUT BACK ALL PREVIOUS

Prior to formatting the hard drive I had, on incoming
email, an audible alert that sounded like a door bell
chime (ding dong). Now I get a woooshing sound. How can I
get the (ding dong) sound back. I've already gone into

At our office we have 20 older machines running windows 98. These
machines seem to get ruined by the staff here with downloads of
spyware, adware, free games etc. Due to this mass downloading of
rubbish i find myself having to reinstall the OS often.

The dll file msvcp50.dll comes up as not found. Hoe can I
get this file back. I have no idea on what happened to
it .Someone help.

Right, I was on MSN Messenger (not even using a browser
window) when this icon appeared in my taskbar.  It was
