Hi, i have been exprementing with DOS 6.22 for a couple of weeks. That was
the only operating system on my hard drive. Now i want to install windows 98SE

Last night I went to help one of our senior members install a ADSL
connection.
Prior to that I installed a Mercury 10/100 Bbps Fast Ethernet PCI Card into

For some reason, my win98se system font seems to be forced into italics.
It seems to be at a basic system level.
For example, when I use google the search window I enter into is in italics.
Some message and chat programs show italics.

Hi, i have formatted my hard drive and i want to install windows 98.
I do have a boot disk from bootdisk.com, when i insert the disk and get
prompted with 3 choices:
i cant remember all of them, but one of them is to uyse cd-rom support,

   I am looking for a way to see how much total memory is used (or free) in
detail,  not by percent or rounded to the nearest MB.  In Dos,  I used the
"MEM" command, but it isn't reliable for Windows .   I couldn't find out via
"System Information".  Do you know a method?

After about 20 mins. I receive a message that says I have been idle for 20
mins. and asks if I want to stay connected to my server. How do I adjust this
to a specific time that is longer than 20 mins. I would like to set an idle
time that keeps me connected longer than 20 mins. ...

I run W98SE, my defrag has stopped working, it gets to the checking drive for
errors 0% and no more, but the hard drive is making a lot of noise.......SO
