I have tried to install Norton-Anti Virus 2005 and it caused nothing but
problems on the computer (Windows 98). I still can't open the program but my
problem now is when I boot up the computer I get the following 2 messages: 1.

I have a win98SE workstation that is unable to shut down - it reboots
itself instead of properly displaying the "it is now safe to turn off
your computer" message. Wjhen I go to start>shut down it emits a few
beeps, the display goes dim... then the reboot occurs. ANy ideas why?

I get a plugin error when I try to open some URL links. I don't know what

My window 98 is stuck in 16 bit display I can't get it to go 24 bit or 32
bit display  there is no 24 or 32 bits in it's setting. Any help resolve

During the copying process, is there a way to display percentage completed.
Would like to use a batch file to copy files from a workstation to the

window opens, for the ie4tour ?  "page not found" in it, ...can anyone tell

Hello all. I have just reformatted a hard drive and are attempting to put Win
98 on it. I rebooted the system and placed the Win 98 Startup Disk in the
floppy drive. The floppy light comes on and you can hear it reading the disk,

Please Help!  My work computer has window 98 2nd edition.  I purchased
Norton's Antivirus upgrade and went to load it and it stoped in the middle of
loading with a message "symlscvc" has caused an illegal operation. In the
details it's giving a fault in the unicows.dll file.
