Win98se Toshiba laptop On my Recent Win 98se Pc I have a Windows folder named "inf" with 5 sub folders with some 34 m/b of files total.

I have downloaded and installed eTrustEZArmor....the 1 yr trial package. Whenever I engage the EZFirewall it disables my AOL's Modem connection, if connected, or, if about to log on, it won't let me past the 'talking to the network stage'.

I just looked at my Windows folder and I have 5 Hosts file backups, all with the same Modified time as the Hosts file. What would have caused 5 backups to be created? (I don't believe I have any software to do this.) Is there really a need for 5 backup

Now I know I asked this before but can't remember/find answer. I am having trouble changing the appearance of my desktop with display properties. I click on the item I want to change and it stops responding. I have to "end task" to come out of it.
