I've run scandisk on an old HP/Win98 machine.  Comes up with no
problems.  I ran it because I suspected cross linked files.  Here's
why.

weird programs from comp that had installed themslves and rebooted I get a

Around mid-October, my W98 system started writing almost sontinually to the
