How do I change the timeout setting for Internet Explorer in Win 98?   I
cannot seem to download anything without IE timing out (unless I baby sit the
workstation in order to reply to 'stay connected' every 15 or 20 minutes).

I am trying to debug a pc running win98se. I have got the
ad-aware/spybot,and nod32 anti- virus running and it found lots of
malware,data mining and spam.

how do you create cd rom driver floppys from the windows 98 disk, I have no
CD rom support and need to make some floppys, know you can do this in XP but
cant figure it out in 98.

I have been using Adaware 6 quite successfully for some time, regularly
downloading the updates, and screening my pc whenever I turn it on.
However, this morning when I clicked on the icon I received the error
message - "Warning - reference file not found or corrupted"

May i know how to disabled system restore in window 98! because i want to

have killdisked a pc that had windows 98 on, it is ide, so got the bootdisk
and tried to reload windows 98, but cant change directory, am only getting
the A prompt does this suggest that the motherboard is not connecting as the
hard drive is ok?  So basically cant get the cdrom ...

I got the jrojan horse virus, and when I got it into the virus vault, it took
with it the file it was attached to.  Whe windows starts up, I get an error
box that says it can't find the above file.  I say OK and my machine seems to
run just fine.  Do I need this file, and if so, ...

Without any warning or provocation, my CD-ROM drive has vanished from my
computer. It isn't showing up under MY COMPUTER, when I try to open CD PLAYER
I get a message saying I don't have a CD drive. I tried the ADD HARDWARE, but
I don't see CD drive asan option. HELP!!!!!!!!

Hi, When I go on line my firewall mentions this file and asks me what to do,
let it through or not.  What is it, please, and should I allow it through?
