What is the upper limit for RAM in Windows98? Is there a performance drop off above 128 mb officially or not?

i compleated every step on the help on windows help page on this error but
nothing has worked when i start up the machine i get a windows protection
error and will not let me contiue i can start up in safe mode and step by

This is a problem a friend of mine is having.
Instead of doing a "Shut Down to DOS" from the Start
button, her computer does a full reboot as if she were
using a desktop shortcut that reboots to DOS mode.

I got the trojan virus and managed to get it into the virus vault along with
the file it attached itself to.  Now when windows starts up, I get an error
message that says it can't locate file: EGCOM SERVICES_1048.dll
I x out the error box and go about my business and everything ...

i have only one profile on my pc and it has a password but it did this even

I recently purchased a Sandisk Cruzer 256mb flash drive for work. I

I keep getting more and more desktop.ini files in my Temporary Internet
files.  Do I need them all.?

If I shift+right-click on a file and select "Open With...", the list of
programs which then opens includes programs which I no longer have. Is
there any way of removing these from the list?
