Everytime I start my computer a box comes up asking me for my password. I select either "OK" or "Cancel" and my desktop loads. Is there anyway to eliminate this step?

I have a CD that I acquired and have loaded it into my hard drive. The problem I am having is that when I check the CD and the copy I have on my hard drive it comes up to 1300Mb of data and I cannot copy it to another CD. I cannot copy the CD directly as it has a bad file on it
