In the folder My Documents, and in all the subfolders (My Pictures, My Music
etc.) the files are now in reverse alphabetical order i.e. Z's at the
beginning, A's at the end.
Is there some way to correct this?

  The problem I have is when Iboot my PC, everything is fine until the
point I get the desktop. I can see the background picture but by pressing
ctrl alt del, I see that no process is running. I guess I deleted some I
shouldn't.

I am getting a new computer and need to back up just my "data files" onto
CD's?  How do I do this and how do I know what files are the data vs. all the
other junk on there.  I have Windows 98 and am going to Windows XP on a new

A friend of mine recently upgraded their Compuserve Program and it will not
work with Win 98 I.E. 4.0 Ver 4.72.3110.  Compuserve instructed her to
upgrade to I.E. 5.0 or 6.0.  Since she cannot get on line she cannot upgrade
through MS site, however she can order the CD.

I'm working with win98se, cleaning up old files and suddenly
all programs disappeared.  rebooting did not help, nor did reinstalling
win98.......any suggestions?

I had the problem of my W98 Defrag program clearing five or six rows of files
then restarting, going a little farther, then restarting, over and over
again. I'd see a message that said "Disk contents have changed - restarting"
and the thing would go back to square one.
