I am trying to install a lexmark z12 printer....but its not listed in the printers...my husband bought it at a garage sale,no owners manual or disk,ugh
:( how do I find out what one I can use since it isnt listed? tyvm for any help anyone can give

I have been told that in the course of uninstalling programs, games, etc. some .dll files are not removed and could be causing my system to run slower. Is this true? Or is this a ploy to sell a product that will remove unneeded .dll files?

In the process of using a ZIP drive to backup some files my windows stalled. After trying to reboot the computer I could not get past the windows screen. I tried starting in safe mode, and using a boot disk. The files are still on the hard disk and the scandisk found no errors ...

Scandisk will not run because it reports there is not enough "available memory". I've tried shutting down the majority of programs that run in the background but Scandisk keeps reporting insufficient available memory. What else can be preventing scandisk from functioning ...

I was having a problem with re-installing a new modem on a Emachines 400id computer. On their web site they said that IRQ 3 was reserved in the BIOS for their modem. The replacement modem (US Robotics) had installed and worked for a few months then suddenly didn't.

I get the above message on my home windows 98 system when I try to run regedit, I assume that a virus has caused this. Anyone know a way around it?

I am trying to help my husband with a problem that he is having with his Gateway Windows 98 (first edition) computer. He likes to play Solitaire at the end of the day to relax. He got this error message when trying to bring up Solitaire.

I have a windows 98 machine that everytime I reboot the computer or if it is just sitting there for an extended period of time the printers will become magically uninstalled. Most times it is both of sometimes it is only one of them. Has anyone ever seen something like this?

I'm using Windows 98SE and suddenly I have been receiving Error Starting Program box on start-up and shutdown. It says "A required .DLL file MFC42.DLL was not found". I have done a search and have found the .DLL file in Windows/options/cabs/pws folder.
