I get a dialog window displayed with netdc error when booting up. Think there

I noticied in my recycle bin that under the properties and then under C: it
says my drive is only 1.99 Gigs.  It is the right size in the settings in my

Using Win98SE, I found that I have a directory under the Windows directory
called Vcm. I am not sure how long this has been here (probably since I
downloaded DirectX8.1 - more later), but I am wondering if this has been
causing a few Ddraw errors more recently.

Does anyone know how I can stop OE6 from auto opening at start up? Checked
msconfig start up tab but there was no entry for it. Had similar problem on
some Sony & Toshiba laptop computers after installed SP2 in XP. A bios fix
fixed that but there is none for 98SE.
