Hi, I got broadband a couple of days ago and would like to know when I shut
down the computer in the evening is it ok to turn the power of on the B/B
modem

Recently when I had a problem with My PC (XP) I reverted to using my other
PC(98SE) but I found that when dialling up for an internet connection I got
a message "Not answering Try again later" I did this a large number of
times. My modem is OK

Has anyone had any experience using Pest Patrol to remove CWS about:blank
hijacker?  Please comment.

Environment: HP 8250 Pavilion PC with Win 98 SE

I turned on my computer the other day and it booted up in very low
video resolution (16 colors).  I changed the settings to True Color 24

 I can't seem to be able to drag a file icon from a folder and drop it in a
desktop shortcut icon. When I drag it the icon is not highlighted. For example
if a I drag html file on IE icon on my desktop nothing happens, but when I
click on the html file it opens with I no problem. ...

I just added more memory to my Win 98 computer. now it is re-booting when I
shut down. Any suggestions?

My unkle asked me to fix his computer. I formatted the HD and installed
win98se and winXP on it. In win98se when I click on Start>Shut down>OK
The PC turns off automatically and I need no more keys to press, but when I
press the "Power" button on the keyboard or when I click on ...

Can I reinstall win98se on a machine that's running win98(first edition)
using the product key that's currently on the machine in question? I would
be formatting the hard drive prior to the reinstall.
System Properties shows:

I reformatted my old computer to create more space and transfer boot drives.
I was running Windows ME on a Pentium 1 computer without a single problem,
with the exception of drive space.
I successfully reformatted both of my drives but now when I put my Windows

basically just walked in door from two trips away for a while.
I turned on my computer and opened up 5 programs, outllook being one of
them, a problem seemed to crop up so I ctr-alt-dlt to isolate it and before
I know it I have to warm boot.

after the windows logo boots up the computer displays the following  AN
EXCEPTION OE HAS OCCURRED AT 0028:C0030B7C   the computer stays on that
screen and does not load further, please help.. it wont even go into safe mode

Need to upgrade from Win98  to 98SE for Linksys hardware.  Have got 98SE
disc.  Has anyone successfully done this?  
If anyone can give me an 'idiots guide' to doing this I'd be grateful!!!
Don't really want to trash my kids pc!
