My son who is visiting us seems to have picked up a virus of some sort on
his PC.
Whenever he logs onto the internet, it runs ok for a few minutes and then
closes him down.

I think my lodger might be using my laptop because when I've been out it
wakes up (from hibernation) in the account that's opened when you press

Hello, Friend had SBC Yahoo DSL installed. DSL worked fine on tech's laptop.
When installed on friends computer the connection last 8 minutes then states

When attempting to open msconfig or regedit, they will not stay open. They
appear for a split second, then immediately close. I suspect that something

Yes that's right I want to go from Win XP to Win 98 SE.
My employer has some old machines and is getting rid of them.
They have XP Professional on them. I have a crashed machine at home
with Win 98 SE and the original install disk.( I am assuming I have

to be able to network to wireless, a minimum of Win98 SE must be installed.
