Admin restrictions25 Jan 2005 06:58 GMT3
I just purchased a lot of computers from a school surplus.  Old 133

start menu, it just gives me the option to log off or shut down; can't

pointers on the best way to have a clean install without too much extra
garbage and features that I will not use.  Thanks in advance.

intermittant loss audio in software?24 Jan 2005 23:49 GMT5
Sometimes audio will not work. There is no particular pattern to it except
to say its not a lead problem or dirty socket. Even the warning bells etc

Thanx,..Jason

which continues critical updates until 30 June 2006.  Apparently, the
information was reviewed and updated as of January 14, 2005.

No 98SE Shortcut Keys24 Jan 2005 22:32 GMT13
I'm having problems trying to get 'shortcut keys' to work, in Win98SE.
Sometimes, (only, sometimes) I can get them to work, intermittently,
when set-up in a Start Menu item, but, after a reboot, they'll always
fail. Does anyone have a solution for this most vexing problem?

How can I Read Win98 Registry after installing Win2k/NTFS?24 Jan 2005 18:00 GMT1
Ok, Win2k lied to me. I told Win2k setup to upgrade my machine from
Win98SE to Win2k and goto NTFS too. Well, it only partly listened...Its
now NTFS, but it did a clean install of Win2k. So most of my settings
for programs are not available because they reside in the old user.dat
