Does anyone know how this could happen. Overnight a new drive appeared. Its called E drive and has pushed the existing drives up one letter. It cant be accessed and its properties are zero size and zero free space.

I have Win 98 SE. I attached a new USB keyboard and followed the instructions to insert the Windows 98 installation disk, but I got error messages that the following files could not be found: hidclass.sys

I accidentally deleted the audio driver or device while in device manager. When I let Windows re-install it, I get a clicking noise over the audio of almost all audio sources until I click on the taskbar, then the noise is gone and the audio is normal.

Yes, I know this sounds fishy but that is what happened. Can this password be retrieved or reset in any way. There are only two profiles on this system and The other one is my Dad. Any suggestions would be welcomed as you can imagine the crisis that I'm in.
