I want to manually make a simple install disk, so I can install my Win98SE.
I already made one, but there is a problem.

of this drive is too deep or too many file exist for ScanDisk to exam tgis
drive. Scan Disk for Windows may be able to work around this problem.
So upon using the Acc/Sys tools/ScanDisk it give this ...

I have P2 233 - receiving the error msg above. and cant get past it. I have
tried the resolution article 306482 from the MS win98 support web site
..however i can get the machine to boot to safe mode.  I reinstalled WIN98
thinking this would resolve the problem and it didnt. Need ...

i run Windows 98SE with all the patches and update.
from some days i have this kind of problem:
when i try to switch of my PC always the switching procedure is ok but
finally i have a blue screen with:

Most other pages come up OK, but Windows Update just comes up blank and so does
my ISP home page that uses strange features (flash?)

We seem to be having a problem with the startup programs listed in
msconfig. Whenever any program is allowed to startup at boot from the
msconfig startup, we almost always get a "fatal exception oe" message
and have to reboot. Fortunately, the problem doesn't reoccur on reboot.

I ran the Battle Chess DOS demo game and got the following error message:
The program encountered a general protection exception
Fault location  17EE:F643        Interruption service : None

Hi. I wonder if my boot disk I got with Windows98 SE CD is corrupted.
When I want to install Windows, I put the boot disk in A: and the Windows98
CD in the CDROM drive. A: reads the floppy for a few moments then activity
stops. So, I never get to install from the CDROM.

Just doing a clean install of  98se,  when I start getting a couple of  
lock-ups  and then this error message...

Does anyone know if you can connect to a win 98 pc from a m/c running xp,
using remote desktop.

I am the proud owner of WindowsXP.   I used to be the proud owner of Windows
98, and I still have the disk.    I loved my old Windows98 desktop wallpaper,
and I want to have it again.  (It doesn't exist in XP.)
