I have a second older generic PC which uses a 300 MHz Pentium ll, 128 MB of
ram and Win 98 SE, build 4.10.2222.  This PC takes 4 minutes and 52 seconds
to boot up measured from the time the power is applied.  Is this time period

In Windows 98SE I have been able to highlight files and an image
representation of the contents of the file is shown on the left.
The folder is set to have view as webpage.
Example: I can highlight a html file or jpg or gif file and an image of it

Window 98 Crashed. On inserting the 98 Startup disk I get the message
"Windows 98 has detected the drive C does not contain a valid FAT or FAT32
partition"
It tells me to run the FDISK  @ the DOS prompt. I do this and get the reply.

there is a virus in my outlook account that keeps sending me emails and
it uses my account to send emails to other poeple in my contact list.
i tried every possible way to get rid of this virus but it didnot work.
i am using Norton Antivirus and it could not detect it.

Was googling around trying to find audio CD and DVD original graphic labels.

unusual webaddress.  Rather than com, net, or org, it ends with "cc".  What

I recently had some registry errors with win98.  Started up and had some
corrupted registy entries.  I fixed what I could (Install the programs that
went missing) but now when I right click my computer and select explore, my
folder's tree on the left frame is blank and greyed out ...

I have just formated my hard drive and reinstalled 98SE because my computer
was hijacked my malware which I couldn't remove.
After installing I noticed that the yellow speaker sound icon is missing
from the tray.

first?  Do I need to uninstall win98 or win98se first?  Will the rest of my
