I just did a very clean install of win98. It worked fine for half a day but now I get an explorer error message very quickly on the boot which says illegal operation with details "Explorer caused an invalid page fault in module explorer.exe

Can anyone help me? I get "Explorer.exe caused an invalid page fault in explorer.exe at 018F: 00401F31" when I bootup pc. I have tried putting drive in two other pcs as slave drives and could not see hard drive. Put the drive back into original pc and still get the error.

This error keep windows from running, could not resolve with KB info articles so I formatted new hard drive, reinstalled windows, ran factory restore disk, still same problem. windows will not boot in any mode. knowedge Base info no help.
