I’ve been having problems with some web sites shutting down. Not al

    I have Windows 98 SE.  I can plug a USB drive into my PC and use
it fine.  My question is: Since there is no utility to "Stop" the drive
before I take it out, am I risking messing up the drive by just pulling
it out of the USB port when the PC is on?  Should I shut the PC down

At times my dialup connection window indicates a lot of communication
with the Internet. I suspect that it is some program wanting to update
itself. I thought I had all automatic updates turned off.
How can I determine which program is accessing the Internet?

I am looking to purchase a new video card and I wanted to inquire everyone on

Blundering through, I needed to update my bios. This was done and when I did
this, the BIOS could see my new 100G maxtor drive.
