When I try to install the driver for my ext hdd in a newly installed w98se, I
got the following message, quote

Upon booting this computer up I get
ERROR
RESOURCE CONFLICT - ALLOCATION ERROR STATIC NODE #5
the only option is F1 to set up ... do that and it just keeps looping

I made the mistake of creating an xp network floppy and installing it

When I wish to translate english to greek using MS-Word I have not that
choice as I have only 4 language translations available.

Win98SE, Excel 2000. When I doubleclick on an XL file in Windows Explorer, it
opens in Excel, but it doesn't get added to the list of recently used files.

Under Folder Options, File Types, I have two icons (i.e. two separate
entries) for AudioCD. Each entry has one command, Play. The entries are
identical except for the Play command:
"C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe"

I just replaced my original Dell NVIDIA 32 MB AGP display adapter with an
NVIDIA GeForce4 MX4000 on a ASUS V9400 board with 128MB.
The computer is set up for 2 users, one with 800 X 600 resolution, the other
with 1024 X 768, both 32 bit color.

Could any one please advise how to resolve the following issue,    (A Fatal
Exception OE Has occurred at 0028:BFF88112)   this occurs on shutting down
the computer.

Try re-installing my Broadband modem and I get the following message, quote

The defragmenter in the maintenance wizard is stopped when the disk drive
contents change.  This happens when programs access the disk.  I found some
ZoneLabs programs doing this, so I turn that off when I want to defrag.  I

another old similar MS mouse, same 2 button. Both of them use the (IIRC) DB-7
