Somehow an unwanted toolbar has been added to Internet Explorer, it has a 'Remover toolbar' button but when clicked random webpages are pulled up. When I right click on the toolbar , the name of the toolbar is not in the list and toolbar is locked and I can't remove any toolbars. ...

Win98SE. Am trying to load a new application onto two PCs. On the first PC, after clicking the instal program, there was an error message - see below. On the second PC, it installed and works perfectly. I then retried the first PC again and received the same message.

I am interested in a new pc where it is in the sales info that Windows XP is preloaded to save time setting up. This pretty useless advantage seems to be accompanied by serious problems if a crash necessitates reinstalling XP. How is this arranged with such a machine?
