I have discovered a new addition to my Program menu:
"Juniper Networks">"Host Checker"
Is this something good (or bad)?  I assume it running something called
dshostchecker.exe.

I have Compaq Armada M700 running win98 which I'm repairing for a friend.
Work completed, Win98 fully updated, as is the office software he has
installed.  I've run a number of utilities (PC Bug Doctor, Adware, Window
Washer and WinOptomiser) and finally defragged the system.

I am running Win 98SE. When I look at the recycle bin from the desktop it
says there is nothing in it, although I have not emptied it. If I go to
"Disk cleanup" it reports that the recycle bin has 224MB in it, but when I
click "show files" it brings up the recycle bin, but still ...

I get this error message during the bootup process.  Anyone know how I can

internet purposes.What would be the best way to speed things up a bit? It
doesn't seem to have much memory or hard drive capacity.Would putting in more

I have an old dell with windows 98 se i'd like to clean out the hard drive
and re set it to when the factoy shipped it to me, i have all the orginal
programs and disk that came with it. How could i accomplish this.

I am trying to load a new ripper program on my Win98 platform. Although the
blurb for the various programs I have tried says that they are 95/98/NT/XP
compatable, none of the will operate under Win 98.
Any help available? TIA

In a recent fresh install, several fixes and reboots were required. In an early
bootup, the windows password screen was not present. Great, except it is now back
after several reboots.
In DUN, the first time I dialed up, I checked "save password". After the next cold

Sorry for the crossposting but after a week of various uninstalls,
reinstalls, etc. I am stumped.  :)
I have a couple of problems that may or may not be interrelated.
Long and short, my registry was corrupted and I reinstalled WIN98SE.  I
