 I am trying to do a clean install of win.98 second edtion onto an older
Dell laptop.
  I was able to get the machine to boot from the CD but I cannot get the OS
to install. The only thing that will run on the CD is the sampler of MSFT

I am helping out a friend that wants to access a PC with Win98
from a remote location using Remote Desktop. IIRC, Win 98 can
only act as a client of Remote Desktop, not as a server. Is this
correct?

Regarding the autocomplete when typing in URL's.
Anyone know where the info is kept?  Anyone know how to
turn off the feature?
I use Firefox, the feature is active.

I’ve tried to search within prior Posts for the surest ways to change File
Attributes in order to see or deal with Hidden Files, but have come up with
not-so-clear ways for getting this done.
Folder View Options do not seem to give me full control.

In Excel when a selected block is copied
(Cntrl+C)  to clipboard for pasting. It becomes surrounded by
moving/flashing dots and when the paste command is applied it still remains
on the original block.

I just reinstalled 98 SE on my dual boot (with XP) machine. Admittedly I'm
running "too much stuff", but all the same "stuff" runs in XP with no
problem.
First of all, it's a 2.4Ghz pentium 4 with a gig of memory (2-512's)
