I am having a problem getting Win98 to work with my new monitor. It's
an LCD widescreen with a resolution of 1440*900.
My old Kyro-II video card didn't have this resolution, so I went and
bought a new nvidia FX5200 card, but it also doesn't display this

I am running Win98SE on my other box and have mysteriously picked up an
unwanted
tool bar below my IE6 address bar.  I would like to get rid of it, but
don't know who's it is,

Anyone being able to run Win98 in a 2GB RAM machine?
With a Nvidia GPU I simply can't have 2GB of RAM in my
machine even limiting the physical memory and file cache
size in SYSTEM.INI

I bought a Xircom RBEM56G-100 modem/Ethernet PC card for my Thinkpad 600E on
ebay.  It didn't come with any software but I did download some stuff from
Intel's site.  Problem is, the directions say it should want a driver for a
PC card modem, but instead it asks for "PCI Ethernet ...

My system no longer creates or uses swap files.
there were some  virues that did damage to the OS.
I can creat a swap file manually through DOS, but Windows only use my RAM
and never gets to the swap file.

I am trying to format a hard drive and reload either windows 98 or xp. I have
no idea how to do it. Can someone help me and explain it step by step as I am
computer illiterate.
