When I go to ControlPanel> Add\Remove Programs, I see the name of some
programs there that I have removed their folders before, but now I want
their names to be removed from the programs' list, but I can't. When I click

can anyone tell me why is it that windows stops me at 99% of a download

An HP Pavilion 6630 that I just salvaged (from the side of the road)
has a working version of Windows 98 on it.  From a command prompt, VER
results in 4.10.2222.
How can I tell whether this is Windows 98, ME or SE?
