The motherboard swap went fine.  99 vintage Via to 2005 Intel.  99 vintage
Amd to 2004 Intel cpu.  Stripped drivers etc., installed new mobo drivers in
98SE.  Uneventful.
Want to swap com 1 connected 33K telco to USB connected 56K version modem.

   I recently replaced hdd, loaded win98 with cabs
(restore cd will not boot). With the help of this forum every thing is
working well with the exception of a sound problem.
