Will My Win98Se System Support my 160gb HD?23 May 2006 21:57 GMT4
 I'm currently running windows 98 se on a dell gx400 motherboard which
has 48bit LBA.  I'm running a 160gb hard drive to which I've filled
about half way.  My bios and win98se properly show the correct disc
size.  I've read alot about how there is a 137gb barrier that win98

Hello!  Can someone (Glee!?) explain to me why my
system's(Windows\Installer\msi and msp files) have to continuously
show up? with options to apply.  The patches are for/from Command
Software/Authenium.  The DS's and Certificates seem authentic. I asked

Howdy, Just loaded up Win98SE onto a Gateway 400c, 64mb RAM, 400MHz
cpu, 4gb HDD.  All I have on the computer is Windows and when I try to
load the video drivers (obtained from the Gateway support site) all I
get is a black screen that says "Information: Out of scan range" !!

OS windows 89 SE. I believe winoa386.mod is corrupted because can't get
comand prompt. Where can I get a fresh copy? Have lost the CD or  CD was
never issued with my company PC. It came preinstalled maybe. Cab files are
located in C:\windows\Options, but I dont know which cab ...

i used a registry cleaner on my windows 98 and all was well--it cleared
up the problem i was having.then i found that any program i downloaded
from the internet will not start on its own even though i know its a
self extracting one  such as bearshare.It seems with my cleaning I lost

When I print a file, sometimes the top line of text, on a page other than
page 1, is either missing or only "partially" printed. I tryed changing the
top and bottom margins but that did not solve the problem. Any suggestions?

I have a Nexxtech 4-Port USB hub that I purchased while using Win2K
here at home.  I'm fed up with Win2K and going back to Win98SE.  But I
believe the hub needs to have drivers to work in Win98SE properly.
Can anyone direct me to something that will help with this device?

I'm returning to Win98SE after trying out Win2K for over 3 months.
Win2K is not worth the hassle on this older machine and I'm in fact
looking forward to returning to a system that minds me rather than
going its own way! <g>

reinstall the TrackPoint feature, but it is missing from the Device
Manager.  How do I remove / reinstall that feature now?
