Is there a setup repair option in Win 98SE? I remember one from somewhere, but I'm not sure when it was started? And can it be run from the DOS level from hard disk?

I am running Win98 with a cable modem. Several weeks ago, a family member tried to set-up a wireless router from my computer. I knew this could be a mistake, because the same router once caused connection problems with another computer after trying to disconnect it.

when i ask for restart from shutdown menu, or from any software install, windows shutting down screen appears, monitor goes black, but cpu stays on. have to manually turn off, so no restart. shutdown works O.K. ideas? thanks
