I have a dual O/S on my PC (1.5 G RAM): XP Home and Win 98. I had recently
upgraded my XP edition to Home.
Now when I try to start up Windows 98, it gives an error as follows: "Not
sufficient memory. Please edit your Autoexec.bat or remove entries from

Just wondering if during the boots up, it says detected 2nd hdd (sec slave)
but when I click my computer, it only shows the 1st hdd (pri master). In the

Is there a setup repair option in Win 98SE?  I remember one from
somewhere, but I'm not sure when it was started?
And can it be run from the DOS level from hard disk?

I have a PC Pentium 3, with 512 MB RAM, running Win98SE.  Sometimes when
typing in Word 2000, the text appearing on the monitor isn't keeping pace
with what is typed and I'd prefer it to keep pace.  Is this issue a question
of the "Performance" of the PC, or could it be sorted ...

I am running Win98 with a cable modem.  Several weeks ago, a family
member tried to set-up a wireless router from my computer.  I knew this
could be a mistake, because the same router once caused connection
problems with another computer after trying to disconnect it.

Under C:\Accessories\Backup\System\Catalogs, I find 3 files with '.FCS'
extensions.(L0000001.fcs, S0000000.fcs, S0000001.fcs)

when i ask for restart from shutdown menu, or from any software install,
windows shutting down screen appears, monitor goes black, but cpu stays on.
