Can I copy loads of files in dos17 Jun 2006 21:18 GMT12
I'm trying to recover vital files and folders from a corrupted Win98
installation. At this moment I have no workable os in my desktop, so I
cannot get Safe mode. All I can get is the command prompt with my
startup disk. When i go to the partition where those files are it would

This old programe run in dos and there is no os in this hard disk(1). When I
on it, it c:> prompt appears.And from there I run the programe.
If I slave this hard disk(1), how can I copy all the files in this hdd into
my computer hdd (2) so that it can run in the c drive of my pc ...

Hi, my friend and I have been figuring out how to install (not SHARE)
an MS program (not FILE sharing) from his desktop computer to my
laptop.  He is running a Windows XP Pro and mine is XP Home Edition.

I was surprised that I had 5 critical updates for 98SE in this round of
updates.  I hope that Microsoft is closing the remaining holes in 98SE
and that 98SE can continue to be used safely on the Internet after 11
July 2006 if you have a good firewall.  Anyway, the bells should ...

I had a corrupted win98 OS and XP home on one hd and different
partitions. I decided to delete win98 windows folder with deltree
file... I chose by accident the wrong windows folder ...all my other
programs and data files are still there in the xp partition, which

I have a customers machine in which I've installed a new HD and formatted

My computer running on Windows 98 is unable to shut down properly. Most of
