       i am using windows 2000 server now mc afee found one virus in
winnt/system32/cfgmngr32.dll but it is not clear by mc afee and me. how
to remove this virus. In the same time my folder.http file missing how
to get this file again.

I've tried to uninstall 2 programmes by going to "Add/remove program" but
keep getting this message " Unable to locate the installation file
'C:\PROGRA~1\ACAD2000\DelsL1.isu'. Uninstallation will not continue".

i created a bootdisk form windows 98SE of the computer.
I want to format c drive.
Booted from the boot disk. Shift+F5 goes to Prompt. And got bad command
after typing format c:

Is it only in WinXP that the PCI bus takes care of everything?

I've been given an old machine (PIII-500) to reinstall for a friend.
So far, I've installed Windows '98 Second Edition on the machine, but I
cannot seem to get the resolution of the screen to go up to 1024x768 at 16
million colours.

I'm trying to use a USB 60 MB removable drive/stick, but when I put it in
nothing happens-therefore I can't write to it. I believe 98 isn't
plug-and-play but I don't know what I have to do.

Okay,  I have SP2.  I have a service disabled, but I didn't disable the
service.
The one I'm concerned about is Human Interface Device, mine shows DISABLED.

I have 128mb of RAM, however under System Properties only 96.0 RAM is
showing.  I checked the obvious and made sure that the memory was
securely in its slot....and even moved it to another slot just in case
but it still only shows 96.0 RAM.

I have 98SE.  When I use the stand.by mode (or turn off disk or monitor)
through the Power Management facilities in Control Panel, the system does
not come back and I am forced to reboot.
I have now left the options on "never" so that the monitor/disk is always on
