I uninstalled some programs that haven't been used in years to free up
some space.  Upon reboot, I get stuck at the blue clouds, after the

I've been fighting to get a new USB scanner to work and found out I need to
start up a process "stimon.exe" before my scanner will operate properly.  I
made a shortcut to this program and placed it in my Windows, Start Menu,
Programs, StartUp folder and everything works fine, but ...

I am attempting to install an Ethernet PC Card and Windows 98SE reports that
system.ini cannot find the following VXDs . . .
VNETSUP.VXD
VREDIR.VXD

I need to upgrade from win95 to win98 on a laptop computer.
Is it safe to just apply the upgrade from the CD?
Are there any things I should be careful about or any actions I should take
prior to updating.

I have various brands of USB mass storage devices like small flash memory
drives, external hard drives, etc., each different make evidently requiring
its own driver(s) when used with Win98SE.
Since WinME and later versions recognize at least most of these mass storage

I've bought a new TV and it can accept input from a computer.  However, my
computer system is old and the Graphics card is Inno3d GeForce 2 MX AGP
"Value" and the card has only one output for VGA display.
Are there anything I can buy that I can output the display to a TV?

Is there any possibility to have a Task manager, like win2000, in win98?
The need is to control the memory spend and free, and the processor use.
