A fellow brought in a computer for me to update. It still had Internet
Explorer 5.5 and Outlook Express 5.5. I did the IE 6 update and about 23
more critical updates and then I noticed that Outlook Express is still
version 5.5.

   Tonight I ran the Avast! Virus Scan. I got the following  result and I
am wondering what to do about it if anything.

Unable to scan GZIP archive is corrupted " This is the first time I ran it

well when i dial my  isp i get this message >

I would like to know if Avast! takes care of Trojans in addition to Virus.
Also when it tells you that there is an update, does it automatically
download it or do you have to go up and download it?

I have a Sony 24" monitor that won't power up.  Model GDM-90W11
It's branded as SGI 061-0021-001 but built by Sony.
When I turn it on it just "clicks" but never displays anything.

I have a VGi 1GB usb flash memory stick which works on my WIN XP machine but
not on WIN 98E as WIN98E doesn't support mass storage device and requires a
driver to operate.  My problem is I cannot find a vendor (VGi) download for
this device as I googled and cannot find the vendor ...

I usually turn off my computer at night and was asked by my house mate
