On a screwed-up machine, I'm trying to do a nuke-and-reinstall of 98SE for a
friend.  (I know, I know - 98 is NLS.)
98SE incorporates IE5 of course.  Wanting to reinstate the IE6 she had.  
How can I find/download IE6?  Windows Update only lists IE7 or SP's for 6.

I have a blue screen that pops up when I try to go onto a certain site. It's
a windows screen which reads...   An exception 0E occured at 0028:C001D409 in
VxD(01) + 000005895. This was called from 0028:00C90F9E in VxD---. It may be
possible to continue normally.

just moved my computer and now keyboard doesnt work.
I have reinstalled it after deleteing all previous keyboards installed, thru
device manager.
Device manager says there is no conflicts.

hello, i must have installed win 98 2 times a day for the last 3 months and i
have not been able to get it to start up.
it all started when i downloaded a danm virus in september, the AVGscanner
found it as worm vb.so

I just got a PC for free and it had needed a power supply.  After
replacing that, I tried to boot the machine up and all I got was

The little boxes that appear at the bottom of the screen next to the
systray, one for each window open, ie. word, outlook express, etc.
I do not know what they are called, but they have stopped appearing for
almost all windows, except for internet explorer.

2) When do I "Restart in MS-DOS mode," type in "del
c:\windows\win386.swp," then Ctrl-Alt-Del, to replace a bloated SWP
file with one of smallest size?
