I know that win-98 does support multiple monitors, but I'm wondering if I can install 2, 3, or even 4 PCI video cards into a machine (and maybe also an AGP video card) and have all of them drive a monitor and be able to extend my desktop across all of them.

I have a notebook that my dad gave me. It has an external ethernet card and I got everything working for my internet connection. The only problem is I can't view some websites mainly wwws sites. Can anyone help?

For my kids I have just made a new win 98Se install on an IBM thinkpad 390e. When I want to make an update i get this error code: 0x80072F89 - and no more happens. I can manually make updates.....but that is a slow forward going :-( How can I solve this problem getting my 98se up ...

A friend was installing a new printer, something went wrong, remembers something about a Safe Mode question, probably answered yes because now it always starts in Safe Mode. How can I get it to start in normal mode ?

Windows 98SE. There is a Catroot folder containing a Cab file called Catalog3.cab. Inside this cab folder there are files which all pertain to Security, any one know what it is or why.

I installed a PCI USB 2.0 & IEEE 1394 Combo Card on my Win98 desktop for faster Acronis Image backups. It appears to be transferring data faster. Do I need a USB 2.0 cable to make it work optimally...or will any USB cable work with a card like this?

If you would like to set up a two PC LAN using existing your phone wires instead of special cabling, I have two NICs that will work with W98 or W98SE. They are yours for the cost of mailing them to you (around $5 - $8 as a guess). First come, first served.
