98SE31 Dec 2006 15:30 GMT17
I've just upgraded to XP.  As I'm finding it impossible to get drivers for
my scanner I wonder if I can go back to 98SE.
If I install it from the original disk will I be able to get the MS Updates
up to the point where MS stopped supporting this OS?

Corrupted Autoexec.bat31 Dec 2006 02:43 GMT27
Although my system (Intel Pentium II and W98SE) appears to work normally,

Recording question30 Dec 2006 22:51 GMT5
I seem to have forgotten how to use my make-shift microphone, or
perhaps have some settings wrong.
The 'microphone' that I wish to use is actually one of those devices a
telephonist would use when answering a phone, ie, it is something that

My employer gave me my computer 9 years ago, it's running windows 98.  It
came preloaded with a 2 gig hardrive.  When I go to defrag, the page stays
white and defragging restarts 10x.  When I check the hard drive space, it
shows that 100%  is available.  What is the problem?  ...

the keyboard buffer seems to be unaffected-whatever I type ...

Thanks
