When I shutdown Windows 98 it will start back up. To get it to shutdown, I
have to use the power button. The only changes I have made were installing a
network card for DSL service which worked fine at first. Now it keeps
restarting on shutdown.  Would appreciate any help anyone ...

Deleted a video file in error on my drive I use for storage, which yes, the only drive I  had not backed up . . . .It's all big media files.  This one was priceless.  Directory snoop could see it but only seemed to copy 1 byte at a time when I tried to save it.  ...

I recently had a machine where bootup stopped at a C prompt because of

The msdos.sys file is hidden, the attribute is read-only. Yet a sound card
install apparently changed the default BootGUI setting from 1 to 0.

Which file system is better for use with 98SE ?;

I'm having problems installing new fonts.  I open up the font folder as
usual from the control panels folder, but when I click on the file menu
there is no option to install new fonts.

There have been occasions when a downloaded image shows up in a  way that I
find difficult to describe. There is an outline of what it is supposed to
show, but peculiar bands of color of various shades and undulations make
viewing practically impossible.

This is a long-term irritant for me, so please bear with me while I vent a
bit.  Pat me on the head or whatever, and tell me to try to be more
understanding, or whatever...<g>

Since about 3 weeks I cannot use my USB devices anymore, mainly my
Pocket PC (via ActiveSync) and my digital still camera.
I have been connecting my Pocket PC to my Windows 98 SE PC via
ActiveSync for years without any problems.

In Windows Explorer I can get a list of files in any given folder, or a tree
of folders, or whatever.  How do I print that out?  ...or export it to Excel
so I can work with it?
